School Trip to a Gallery

We went to this cafe in China town where with quite a lot good photographs, it's a photography exhibition.
There, I picked 4 different photographs which are critically strong and either critically weak.

Image 1, Norihisa Hosaka, Japan: Decayed Light.
Shibuya Hachikow Crossing with crowd after FUKUSHIMA 2011

This photograph's name is Decayed Light, fits this picture itself. The photographer used slow shutter speed to capture the busy cross road, cars, people and everything else is in a virtual shadow situation, which shows the movement of the street. And the image is in Black and White, which exactly presents the "decayed" part of this picture, and look at the light, it's a bit turning white, white light-decayed light. Perfect name for this photograph.

Image 2, Alex Wong Yoong Wah, Malaysia: In and Out of the Mist-In the Middle of Nowhere

Critically, this photograph is full of mist, this name of this image fits the picture very well, as it says "in and out of the mist", we can't obviously see what or who's in and out of the mist until we dig into the pic and find the little person in the unclear mist. Everybody would be very sure this photo was taken in the middle of no where first time they saw it, cause the photo we see is a bit too empty and blank.

Image 3, Eduardo Fujii, US: Lightscape
It's hard to express why I like this image; I feel emotions from this photograph, the perfect light irradiates through the woods and distributes; because of the light, the woods has the perfect shadow; the light and the woods are reflecting each other on this image, and plus those 2 people riding on the bikes on a tree path gives the image more emotions.

Image 4, Keng Fun Loh, Singapore: Epiphany at Jan Meda, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 2012

This image's got a perfect profile of this girls, and the photographer used the Available Light very well. But this image doesn't really tell, usually every photograph has their own background stories, whether short ones or long ones; I can't tell what's going on in this picture. And behind this girl, probably there's a white yurt, (cause the background is quite blurry and it's hard to figure what that is) I don't think the white yurt should be the background, because if this image was a portrait of this little girl, then the photographer should have found a better background for this portrait, such as blue sky or mountains.
