Illustrator

WHAT IS ILLUSTRATOR?
1, Adobe Illustrator CS5 helps you create distinctive vector artwork for any project.
It is the industry standard when it comes to scalable vector artwork.
2, As a designer, illustrator is the right tool for graphics that need to be scaled.
3, A prime example are logos which often need to be adapted for small mediums such as business cards, larger mediums like bill board signs, and converted to gray scale or black and white for medium such as newspaper.

Vector art = Vector graphics: artworks are done by illustrator software.

Graphic Design Defination(Research)

GD Assignment 2 Project Me

This is my Graphic Design Assignment 2, It's an installation artwork about myself; the name of this project is ME; cause I used bottles to spell the word 'ME'
Using bottles is Environmental Friendly, recycling; We can make bottles into a fine artwork instead of throwing them away. That's why I chose bottles to be my installation artwork's material;
"Me" presents Independent, and shows my biggest personality, I love being independent, and doing stuff on my own; and I am actually an independent person;This assignment is all about ourselves, so I though Spelling the word "ME" isn't a bad idea.
I wanted my bottles to look very colorful and shiny, so I thought to use the Christmas Tree Light, it always shines perfectly, it does shine better with those bottles. And the bottles with the light on makes this artwork have a little bit of mysterious feelings in it.
This big 'ME' is made of bunch of bottles; if you pay attention to the details, you can see some drawings inside the bottles; those are several logos I designed which present my personality and some of my interests;

 This is how it looks like without light on, looks simple and casual.

 Here is a video of my installation art,

I used highlight colors in my project as well, when the light turns into blue or purple color, the highlight colors glow

GD Assignment 1 (part 2)

This this a portrait for my dear classmate- Subi Amuti; This is how ugly he is in my point of view.
His hair style looks ridiculous which looks like a watermelon, and not many boys would like to have this kind of hair cut, so I drew a watermelon skin on the top of his head as his hair.
He has this pair of thick and dark eyebrows and big ears; people all agree the fact that he looks like a vampire - Edward from the movie Twilight; so I drew a red pupil for his eye and a vampire-like collar;
He is a very quiet and very shy person, doesn't talk as much as I do, people would usually draw a pair of crossed plasters to show the person is quiet; but I think being quiet is being evil and social suicidal, so I decided to draw a pair of crossed bones to show the evil and social suicidal side of him, with a pirate's eye cover, it's even more evil.
He is obsessed with rap music and soccer, that's why I drew a gangster-like necklace, a microphone coming out of his crouch, a pair of soccer shorts with No.18 on it which is his lucky number, and a soccer ball leg.
He eats quiet often and a lot, he's still childish sometimes and he always stays at home and does god-knows what he does everyday, so I drew a fork arm, an arm with ice-cream and a tree leg.
He has really light skin color with some spots on it, so I left his skin parts white but some black dots on them.

Instead of his ugly sides, I wanna show he is actually a glowing person as well, he's really good at sketching, drawing and he's a creative person, which everybody agrees; so I used highlight colors for his vest and shorts; ( the highlight color glows under the UV light and Dark Blue LED light)
Here are several process pictures:

GD Assignment 1 (part 1)

This is a pop-art-like portrait, I used yellow, red, green and blue for the main colors cause I really like pop-art which shows 1 of my interests; in the picture, I am an angel who has unbalanced wings,(one is bigger than the other one) and a ripped vest with an overwhelmed face on the vest which shows my personality; I am an angel who has unbalanced wings and I think I'm a naive person but I'm not sure; I have a ripped vest with an overwhelmed face shows that I'm a saving person, I wear vests a lot; and when I party really hard I look exactly like the overwhelmed face on the vest.
 There's also an exploded head with different little logos floating on the top of my head, crazy and dizzy eyes, cigarette and bottle arms, and a Rolling Stone logo mouth with a tongue piercing on it which shows some of my interests; the little logos float on the top of my head  are a camera, peace logo, sun, moon, star, flower and music symbols which shows I like music, flowers, stars, moon, sun, photography and I'm a hippie. Those 2 crazy and dizzy eyes show that I'm actually a crazy person; Rolling Stone, I like rock'n roll music; with a piercing on it, I like piercings; cigarette and bottle arms show the bad side of myself, I drink and smoke.
And there are a few details on this portrait, 1st of all, I left a small area on the top of my head blank which shows I don't think too much or (I am not a give-sh*t person) I wear Converse shoos on this portrait because I like Converse and I wear Converse all the time.
Here are several process sketches.
